Adding an ignition box to your truck will improve throttle response and increase HP. I added a MSD 6a ignition box to my truck and could feel a difference from the start. Installing the 6a was very easy. I bought an MSD connector for my truck at the local speed shop to complete my install. The connector connects between the coil and the stock coil connector. The MSD connector has extra wires included to run to the MSD 6a box.
A power and ground wire was also connected and the install was complete. This was a very easy install and well worth the money. Installing the 6a also had an extra benefit because it had a place to connect a tach to. When wiring up my tach I only needed to wire up the power/ground wires and run the main tach wire to the MSD box.
